Alison and Timothy chose one of the most prestigious hotels on Long Island to get married at…the Allegria Hotel in Long Beach, New York. And the reason why? Alison told us that they loved the beach and New York City so it would make perfect sense to pick a venue with gorgeous ocean views and the NYC skyline. One problem…. they woke up to the early signs of a hurricane raging outside on the day of their wedding, but this didn’t stop their positive outlook.
While filming the ceremony, we were completely taken by surprise when the fire alarm went off, as if on cue, right in the middle of their vows. Alison and Timothy could have lost it, but instead they burst out in laughter along with the audience and carried on. These are the type of clients we love to work with, and if there’s one thing we love here at Pennylane, it’s when things don’t go as planned like Alison and Timothy’s wedding.

Krystal and Charles got married in Westhampton, New York on September 7, 2013 at a house they rented for their wedding day. When we arrived we were surprised to see the groom directing traffic while the groomsmen scrambled to valet cars away from the limited parking in front of the house but we knew we had a great story.
We love getting set up shots, but rarely do we get to have the members of the wedding party actually doing the setting up. The groomsmen lugged tables, chairs, signs and pieces of the dance floor to and from the beach while family members laid out programs and flower arrangements.
While the guys made sure the house would be ready for guests, the bridesmaids had their own fire to put out. As Krystal got ready, one of vendors accidently left with her bag which contained her lipstick, eyeliner and an envelope filled with cash. Along with all of that, her grandmothers ring was in the bag too. This set the stage for a very unique wedding story.
After the ceremony we made sure to take advantage of magic hour with Krystal and Charles. This is the point of the day were the light is the most beautiful as the sun slowly sets. Sit back and enjoy a tease of their wonderful in this highlight reel.

The two defining qualities of a great wedding are emotionality and originality. Mena and Brian’s day had both. It started with the scavenger hunt that the groom set up for Mena and it continued into the ceremony at the Ocean Club where Brian broke down while reciting his vows.
Mena and Brian were full of energy and just the right amount of silly during an awesome magic hour creative session Brian from Sherwood-TriArt Photogrpahy.
Check out this 3 minute teaser of what happened on May 12, 2012!
Wedding at Westhampton Bath & Tennis Hotel
Lorin and Jordan got married September 24, 2011 at the picturesque beachside Westhampton Bath & Tennis Hotel in Westhampton Beach, New York on slightly overcast but beautiful day. The first look took place on the boardwalk with a stunning view of the crashing waves. The moment was a great mix of sentimental and silly that came through in the couple’s personality all day. Later, Lorin walked down the aisle accompanied by Lucky Chops an awesome brass quartet that really brought a different feel to both the ceremony and the cocktail hour.
Then it was on to the reception where we were in for a real treat. The toasts given by Lorin and Jordan’s family were very different but they all had the same sentiment; this was a couple who not only cared for each other but for all those they loved. To cap off the toasts the groom’s brother brought down the house with his speech that found the perfect mix of poking fun while still being genuinely sweet. Mix that with some great dancing and a performance from Jordan himself and you have a night to remember.
Lorin and Jordan’s full film is still to come but for now sit back and enjoy their highlight reel.
