When You Let Her Go | A Brooklyn Wedding

“When You Let Her Go” produced by Pennylane Productions | Directed by Adam Forgione | Cinematography by Adam Forgione, RJ Weyant, and Bobby Shortle | Edited by RJ Weyant

As soon as I heard this wedding was going to be at the Liberty Warehouse, I was stoked. I kept hearing about this place but never saw it until this wedding. Ok now lets rewind….I met Jonathan the groom through his sister Jacqueline who got married in 2011 and used our services back then. Him and his fiancé Suzzane reached out and booked us in 2013 and the rest is history. These two are as real as they get and they are perfect together…I mean perfect.

When we first sat down to chat about their story, they told me about how they broke apart for years and found their way back. Then the tell me they found a wall near Liberty Warehouse with writing on it that reads “Only know you love her when you let her go”and this led us to the theme and title of the film.

Another reason I was so excited about this wedding was that my good buddy and kick ass photographer friend Susan Stripling was doing stills. She is a master at light and always an inspiration to work with. After the first look, the bride, groom, and the bridal party wandered around local Brooklyn streets looking for bars to drink in and trolleys to break into (even though the bride is a cop). Sit back, hit play, and meet our good friends Suzzane and Jonathan.
