This is a 6 minute excerpt from Tara and Jason’s full wedding film.
There is a certain feel when we do Staten Island wedding stories unlike any other place in New York. What I can say about families that live here is that they are so real. Nothing holds back anyone from saying anything and we admire that so much. We love when characters in the wedding are outspoken and speak a lot. It gives us so many choices for voice over to tell the story in a real way. Tara and Jason’s church was at Our Lady Queen of Peace in Staten Island and their reception took place at The Palace At Somerset Park, New Jersey.
When we ask the groomsmen to do something unique during the preparations, it always gives us a better story line to follow and usually loosen everyone up for the camera. In this wedding, they needed to pick up some supplies at the liquor store because…why not? We arranged someone close to the B&G to deliver the cards back and forth because they only lived about 10 minutes away from each other.
Special thanks to good friend Dave Venturini for helping out as guest filmmaker and of course always a pleasure to work with our close friends at Ricky Restiano Photography…great to see you again Anthony.
Please enjoy and don’t be too upset at the end, we mean well…really!
Wedding at The Palace in Somerset, New Jersey
Tara and Jason’s day got off to a fun start. Jason and his groomsmen popped out to the liquor store to pick up some beers and then headed to a local park to play some three ball and toss some fireworks. Even with all this going on the bride and groom exchanged cards and Jason’s brought Tara to tears.
April Fools Wedding Same Day Edit at The Venetian in Garfield, New Jersey
Jamie and Chris decided to get married on April Fools Day 2011. This is a direct reflection of the playful and fun personalities of this bride and groom. Some really cool things took place on this wedding. Early in the day, the bride and groom exhanged letters but the bride had something planned. She decided to play a prank on the groom to play up the April Fools theme, but it didn’t turn out the way she planned. Later on the groom took us on a ride to the liquor store because this is what guys do at weddings, right? And let’s not forget that Chris loves baseball, so of course we had to play a little game before the wedding. Snug Harbor Botanical Gardens in Staten Island, New York was the location of our first look and creative session featuring the baseball game and photo shoot.
We had the pleasure of working with talented photographers Sachi Villareal Photography. They had lots of inspiring compositions throughout the day, especially that killer shot inside chair room. The ceremony and reception was held at the beautiful Venetian in Garfield, New Jersey. Carl at the Venetian was running the event and was awesome to work with, always checking in on the SDE progress and helping us time the presentation perfectly. The party was slammin’ as a driect result of awesome DJ Sound Explosion based in Staten Island, New York. When the same day edit was played, we got a big hug from the bride and groom and lots of people thanking us for making the memory so vivid. This is the best reminder of why it feels so good to do what we do. Enjoy this wedding SDE.
