Cassandra and Daniel’s story is really cool. They met on Match.com, had their first date at Washington Rock State Park and later Daniel brought Cassandra back to this memorable spot to make his proposal.
The bride and groom got married on October 1, 2011 at the famous Oheka Castle in Cold Spring Harbor, New York. The morning started off with a some drama as Daniel’s tuxedo took its time getting up to his room but after that little bump in the road the day was off and running. The creative session with Chris from Brett Matthew’s Photography was a blast. Cassandra and Daniel were troopers even when we asked them to do some fast dancing right on the lawn!
The day was just getting started though as the supremely talented singing group The Unexpected Boys brought down the house during the ceremony. Then it was on to the reception where in addition to some off the hook dancing we learned that bride’s dad has a list of 10 rules for dating his daughter that he had to be dissuaded from showing Daniel when Cassandra brought him home. This couple had a great story! Apparently, Akeem was very picky about the girls he brought home to meet his parents. In fact, Nagaeda was the first girl he ever took home at all! How cool is that?
Fast forward to their wedding day on August 19, 2011 at the elegant and prestigious Oheka Castle in Cold Spring Harbor, New York. The day started off great as Nageada and Akeem exchanged beautiful gifts. We took full advantage of the gorgeous Oheka grounds and had a blast at the photo session. It was awesome working with the legendary Ricky Restiano who is one of the most creative guys in the business.
And let’s not forget the highly emotional ceremony. The maid of honor had tears in her eyes as Nagaeda’s brother walked her down the aisle and the bride herself had to fight not to cry as she recited her vows. It was a touching moment for a great couple. Their full film is coming soon but until then sit back and enjoy Nageada and Akeem’s Highlight Reel!
