Wedding at The Apawamis Club

Marina + Hunter

All weddings are personal affairs, but Marina and Hunter’s wedding was soaked in personal and family history. When I spoke to them on the phone prior to the wedding I was impressed with just how much thought and care had gone into the way they planned the day.

The venue, the Apawamis Club, is not only a place the couple loves, but is place that has a great meaning in Hunter’s family. His grandparents were members of the club and his parents were married in the same ballroom the couple would be celebrating their reception in. This kind of a connection to a venue is rare and it was something we knew would be featured in their story.

The First Congregational Church of Old Greenwich  was Hunter’s childhood church and during the ceremony there a poem was read that had been selected by Hunter’s grandmother for hi grandfather many years before.

Marina and Hunter gave us bit after bit that made capturing story on the day easy. They were also a wonderful couple to work with who always had smiles on their faces and were game for anything.
